Conor Lehane was in fine form as Midleton overcame the challenge of Blackrock in today’s second Cork SHC semi-final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Lehane contributed 1-6 as they recorded a 2-16 to 3-11 success over last year’s defeated finalists.

The county star’s goal arrived in the 14th minute and Luke O’Farrell added a second three minutes into the second-half.

That left the scoreboard reading 2-10 to 0-8 in their team’s favour.

To their credit, the Rockies refused to throw in the towel.

They pulled back goals through Michael O’Halloran (2) and Tadgh Deasy but Midleton held on for the win and they will face Imokilly in the decider on Sunday, October 14.
