Cork will wait and see over the fitness of marksman Declan Dalton for the All-Ireland U21 hurling championship final on Saturday fortnight.

Dalton was stretchered off with a knee injury in the 52nd minute of last Saturday's 22-point hammering of Wexford at Nowlan Park, leaving him in doubt for the Rebels' decider date against either Galway or Tipperary on August 25th.

Leesiders boss Denis Ring confirmed after the game that the Fr O'Neill's clubman's injury had not been as bad as first feared.

"Initially it looked maybe worse than it was. He seems to be a little bit happier about it. The medical team are happier about it. But look, until you get a scan really you don't know," Ring is quoted saying by the Irish Independent.
