Gary Sice is hoping to add a second All-Ireland Club SFC medal to his collection in Croke Park today.
The recently retired Galway star and his Corofin team-mates will be looking to replicate their success of 2015 when they square up to Nemo Rangers.
"We've never played Nemo before," he pointed out to The Irish Independent.
"They're a superpower. They have the most All-Irelands. They won't be in any way worried about us coming to Croke Park.
"We'd just like to perform. We feel if we perform we're in with a chance."
Corofin's experience was instrumental as they scraped over the challenge of Kildare champions Moorfield in the last four.
Despite losing full-forward Martin Farragher to a controversial first minute red card, the Connacht representatives dug out a 1-6 to 0-6 victory.
"We're around a while now, we didn't panic," Sice said.
"I don't think we changed our game-plan a whole lot, we kept dogging it out. The pitch didn't allow for any fantastic football - it was a bit boggy. It was about winning. We got out of there alive, that's all that mattered."
