Referee Alan Kelly made the right call to postpone Wexford’s game with Kilkenny, according to Davy Fitzgerald.

“I haven’t seen the pitch to be honest. Alan Kelly came in and told us that it looked bad. It’s his call. There is nothing we can do about it.”

Brian Cody had no complaints either with the referee’s decision.

“There’s always things to be learned. And you always look for the character of the player coming out in different ways. And while it wasn’t pretty, I thought Dublin showed really good character there in the last 20 minutes.”
