Clare and Ballyea defender Jack Browne is looking forward to playing in his second county SHC final.

Two years ago, Ballyea caused quite a stir in the hurling world as not only did they win their first ever Clare SHC title, but they added the Munster crown to that later in the year, before qualifying for the All-Ireland final on St Patrick’s Day where they lost out to Cuala.

Now, they are back in the final and facing a Cratloe side that Ballyea defeated after extra time in round two of the campaign.

Browne told the Clare Champion it is always difficult to defeat a team twice in the same championship.

“When you play a team, it’s always harder to beat them twice. When it was so early in the rounds, it will be hard to match it,” said Browne.

“Being back in the final again is something special and hopefully we can get over the line, but we know it is going to be tough.”
