Clare GAA chairman Joe Cooney is confident that both the senior hurling and football management teams will remain for another term.

The Banner are going against the trend somewhat as almost every other county in the country is looking for a manager in either hurling or football and in some cases both.

Clare hurlers' campaign came to an end last weekend when Galway defeated them in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final replay, while the footballers' interest in their respective championship ended last month.

Speaking to the Clare Champion, Cooney feels that both management teams will stay on for another term.

"We will be sitting down with the management over the next week or two to discuss matters. It is only fair that we give them time to reflect on an outstanding year," said Cooney.

"Hopefully all the panel of players and the management will be going forward for another term and, hopefully, we can win the silverware that so narrowly eluded us this year.

"Over the next week or two we will be meeting with all the out going management teams, now that their campaigns are over and, hopefully, we will be in a position to confirm the management teams for 2019 then."
