Do you rem200/300 at Halftime in Breffni Park kick

I just wonder when did the practice of the big kick around at halftime in County games end in Breffni Park
I remember that at Halftime you could have 200/ 300 people in for a big kick around.
You would have slipon shoes going up in the air, one famous exponent of the kick around was legionary for his high fielding.
One woman from a club outside of Cavan Town used to participate
Can anyone remember these days ??

Tomsmith that was back in the late 60s early 70s before the fence and the stand were built.

We have moved on Tom we try to let the youngsters up to 12 year old's have a mini game between the half's. Sometimes two games going we are trying to help anyway we can in the promotion of the game the occasion and off course the county pitch.

Aye but it was great fun to see big Jim Geraghty from South Cavan fielding balls away up in the air and then kicking points from 50 Yards
Anyone remember him ??

I used to take part in the half-time shemozzle. Was great to see the drunks try to catch or kick the ball among all the young lads.

Pioneer badges and some wore crosses Tom. The nuns were the worse. Very rough and would give you sly digs as they were coming down with the ball.

Cavan Slasher I feel that Seanorinn has made a very valid point when you attempt to glorify the excess consumption of alcohol and sport. I feel that Sean o Rinn on behalf of use all is due a an apology for your grave misuse of the English language.
So and we all understand that to apologise is a sign of weakness but be big enough and do the right thing Slasher

I still await your humble apology to Sean o Rinn I feel that your use of the words Drunks enjoying themselves was not correct.
Please do the right thing and we will all move on from this

No apology required Tom I think his post added a bit of fun to the topic. Never saw Nuns at any of our matches but maybe there was. ?????
