I just wonder has anyone got any new finds for the Cavan Senior football panel.
I am talking about fellows that might make a difference if added to the panel,or indeed added to the team.

hopefully a bit of a shake up in first 15 this year, would love to see half back line of 5. Thomas Brady 6. James McEnroe and 7. Conor Moynagh. Goalkeeper needs looking at. Gilly IMO isn't 100% between the posts.
Also running half forwards and full forwards that can take a score on the run (and don't just go across the field holding possession all the time) like Philly Tinnelly and Robert Maloney-Derham. Tom Hayes and Enda Hession should definitely be utilised this year too.

Seanie Johnston best forward in the county and he proved it in this years championship. Terry Hyland always said if a player was playing well in the club championship he would be considered.

Makes a mockery of playing well in club football then if the past stops a player returning. I knew we were narrow minded but didn't think we were this bad.

While my post stated any new talent for the Cavan senior team it has to be read in the spirit that it was posted in and that is for the betterment of Cavan football.
If you feel that an individual made an error in the past but he is now entitled to be included in the Cavan panel because of his brilliance on the football field I would be inclined to let his football skills override and other views that one may have

Make no mistake about it - Seanie Johnson is in Terry Hyland's plans.

If we are missing a scoring forward come April or May and Johnson is playing well for the Gaels, then he is in contention.

In terms of new talent, I don't think there will be any surprises - we know who the talented players are coming up from under 21. I'd expect to see Tom Hayes, Conor Moynagh play some part in the league as well as Argue who is pretty much an established senior already!

Survival in Division 2 with Givney to come back in (form permitting) should set us up nicely for Monaghan in Breffni!

johnson was the best player in this years sfc and wasnt called in, so he wont be called in if he plays well in an ould breffni game. he would be in by now, if he was being brought in. Mckenna cup in a weeks time

Definitely agree we could use him, in fact I thought in 2013 that London utilised him very effectively and felt he could offer us something different up front.

Tried setting up a new thread for the McKenna cup but seems to be some sort of malfunction on the website, anyone else have the same trouble? Can the powers that be not sort this, there's football to be discussed :P

Good luck to the lads and new management. Some familiar faces who haven't appeared in a Cavan jersey for a while, Bud Fitz, Barry Reilly, Ronan Flanagan, Conroy. Good to have Killian back too at midfield, he will deputise well in Givney's absence. I see Argue and Sankey are with UUJ, played against Monaghan yesterday.

I can't say I'm the biggest Seanie fan after what he did but if he scored the winning point in an ulster final I'd forgive him.
Awful shame he did what did.
Would be great to have him as an option up front, might take the pressure of Dunne.
It's up Terry anyway, whatever he decides we'll have to go with that.
