Be good to see Cavan clubs make an impression in each grade.. Cavan's record is poor at this level. Cootehill start on Sunday against the Antrim champions in Breffni in the Premliminary Round.. Cavan Gaels are likely to be meeting Ballinderry, Ulster Club winners last year, so nothing easy there.

Ballinderry haven't even won the Derry championship yet!

Ballinderry are a Quality side. Conleth Gilligan, Colin Devlin, Ryan Bell, McKinless, Enda Muldoon still playing too. Would be a big ask for the Gaels to get a win up in Derry, that's assuming Ballinderry win the Derry final on Sunday.

They could do with Sean Reilly.. struggled at midfield against Kingscourt.

Slaughtneil are managed by none other that Mickey Moran so it's really no foregone conclusion that Ballinderry will be playing the gaels at all.

Cootehill up first tomorrow. Does anyone know much about the opposition. I have to say i feel they can go very far in this competition as i was just so impressed with them this year they have a real professional attitude that you dont see with too many Cavan clubs. What do people think? I think they can go up another level tomorrow and really get people talking. Cootehill By 6+ for me. Merely because I know how good they are and also home advantage.

Portglenone would be handy enough.. They had a good U21 team last year, reached the Semi's of the Ulster club U21 tournament earlier this year.
A few Antrim panelists plus Niall McKeever, former AFl player with Brisbane Lions, midfield on the UUJ team beaten in the Sigerson final this year.

Would still expect Cootehill to win by a few.

Cootehill won 13 pts to 1- 5, play Inniskeen in the Quarter Final, in Monaghan

Gaels won't be playing Ballinderry after all, Slaughtneil got a goal in injury time to win by 2.

Ballinderry are out . Kilcoo are out. Both were suppose to be in the gaels half of the ulster draw.

How do the Gaels begrudgers(and there seems to be plenty on this board)feel now ?

I think the Gaels CAN reach the final

Slaughtneill aren't going to roll over after knocking Ballindery off their perch, will stil be a tough game. They have a few experienced players like Chrissy McKaigue and Patsy Bradley, co players,

Settle down, they still have to play Slaughtneill and beat them. They will be on a high after beating ballinderry and will be tough opponents now, playing with no fear. Chrissy McKaigue and Patsy Bradley 2 key men,

Foolsgold.. In a previous post you talked about Ballinderry being as quality side and named some of their key players . Now you nameing Slaughtneill danger players AFTER they have beaten Ballinderry . Why could you not have mentioned them in your previous post before the match? Or did you not know about them then? You seem very informed when the games are over!!!!.

Dirtybag, Ballinderry were Ulster club champions and going for 4 in a row in Derry, so yeah I felt they would win.
Not sure why you are getting so excited though, the Gaels last appearance in Ulster they made a tame exit against Glenswilly. Glenswilly were coming off a week celebratin their first ever co title

Was great to see Cootehill win with such authority last night in Breffni Park. From back to front they were excellent and their style of football is a joy to watch. Their work rate and tackling is like nothing I have seen from an Intermediate team in a long long time. Young Carney in the backs is a very good footballer for them and then of course you have Enda Hessin in the half forward who is tearing teams apart at the minute and must surely warrant a call up to the senior panel. I really think they can go far in Ulster, if not win it. Would be great to see. They seem well up for it. Also speaking with a lad from down there, heard young connelly might not be in great shape after the hit from their big man. Heard he could have broken ribs. Hope that's not the case as he was starting to show glimpses player who tore us apart two years ago in the championship.
