Who do you fancy to win the Junior championship at this stage?

Arva have Beano back so the Celt says so they'll be favourites.
Also Cornafean should give it a good rattle!

Wide open this year, all 3 teams who have qualified for semi's would be fav but i feel if Cornafean or Shannon Gaels get Ballymachugh in Breffni they would beat them. Arva should beat Kildallan this weekend but if they do it will be a tight game with the port. Cornafean to win it out.

Ballymachugh, Cornafean and Shannon Gaels are the form teams in the Junior this year. Arva left a cup behind in last years final but their championship form is poor this year even though they are in second place in Division 2 of the league. I'd fancy the Gaels, they have some great footballers.

Arva have been without Brian Ellis and Kevin Bouchier for the early rounds in the championship, but they are back now. Ellis was outstanding last year

The Arva Cornafean match will be interesting. Neighbouring clubs managed by two brothers Ciaran and Laurence Brady. Wouldn't rule out another draw in this one.

I would make Ballymachugh strong favourites based on last weekends performances in the semis. Should be a good final!

Watched their progress and how well Ballymachugh have been playing. Now it will depend on who will be refereeing this final for its very important because of some players temperament. So if the right ref is appointed I fancy Ballymachugh if not its Arva's Final.

Arva don't carry the favorite tag well but they are the favorites.

For Ballymachugh to win their midfielder Kiernan and center Half back Baxter will have to be disciplined if they hold their discipline between them they can turn over Arva.

Mowbar. that's a good assessment of the Junior Final.

You're right about the referee too - some say there's a history between these two teams and if that's the case then it will take a very strong referee to keep control of this game. Should draw a big attendance on that account. It'll be interesting to see how Liam Buchanan plays - he had a good All-Ireland Junior final and some believe he could develop into a senior midfielder over the next year or two. We could do with that.

For what its worth Joey Barton my interest is in the Senior Championship!! So, I guess you aren't a genius after all! Maybe stick to the soccer lad!

Ballymachugh's performance in the Final was a complete and utter joke. How can a serious manager look at his team conceding 1-11 without reply and not make a single change?

The wind was worth a lot to whoever had it and Ballymachugh should have adopted a sweeper in the first half. Instead, they did nothing and left themselves with an insurmountable mountain to climb in the 2nd half. Arva were unlikely to fail to score from the few chances they were inevitably going to have in the 2nd half, unlike Ballymachugh who only got a single point in the 1st half.

Ballinagh made very poor use of the wind in the second half as well. That wasn't all down to Kingscourt organising a good defence.

In fairness to Ballymachugh they tried to play a sweeper at times but Arva pulled them all over the place and sent in fast ball to
spaces leaving the sweeper isolated. Arva were very accurate most of the time as well. It's hard to beat fast first-time football
with a bit of good finishing.
