Name your new find/footballer for 2013

(Oldest Posts First)

In view of the fact that the Cavan H/S board is known in Ireland to have the greatest number of knowalls, I feel that we older and wiser posters should put these young pretenders/ experts to the test by asking them to name the new find of the season for Cavan football championship.
What this entails is that you name the Club man who you feel will make the greatest impact at Club level in 2013.
We can have JUnior/intermediate/Senior championship names .

Just to make it interesting we should exclude current County pannelist, so folks Mackey/ David Givney ect are out.

On our night out at Christmas we can announce the winner.

Where have all the knowalls gone.
All these fellows that had the inside line on good footballers and were seen to be close to former managers advising them and promoting there own club men via H/S
We also had former posters who could name second Cavan team. Where are you all????????????????.
Now is opportunity to name the footballers who will make the greatest impact in 2013.
At least Wishfull you named your man.

I reckon find of the year (every year) in Cavan has to be Tom Smith.

But we can't announce him as winner at the Christmas night out as he never turns up even with the great DK waiting for him in the door.

Go on Tom ya biy ya

Turloc Mooney had the game of his life on Wed night.
He was by far the best player on the field.
He sure is a man for the big day.

I have to say Tom I'm underwhelmed . I thought you were the man to go out and find "new" gems and bring them to the attention of Cavan management and not name off lads we've known about for a few years now!

Mine would be Aogan Farrell. Scored 2-1 against Ballyhaise and made the difference in the keenly contested game. Can see him being Drumgoon's go to man for scores in 2013.

Andrew Dewart is also playing very well for Gowna who are goin strong in devision 1B. Hes a natural foward but playing at centre back this year which suits him down to the ground. He is quick and strong and can take a scoring chance when given the oppertunity

was at cavan gaels v ramor yesterday and seemed to be good talent on show. as a gaels man i may be a bit biased at times but have to hand it to ramor. they fought for everything!! number 5 was exceptional. mcenroe look a county star. lot of good young players and when mixed with the cute heads on cole, soden, anton reilly etc they looked good!! gaels had good performers in sean reilly and graham. overall a good game though! so my find for the year is going to be anton reilly. desreves a run on the county!

here is my picks.

Senior- Darragh Gaffney (Drumalee). Has had a couple of good seasons in previous years but this year has start to live to his under age potiential.

Intermideate- Dean Connelly (cootehill). Good player with burning pace. Could be used better by his club.

Junior- Chris Curran (swad). Midfielder with County qulatiy. The former Man Utd trainee has always lived in the shadow of McKiernan but with him sidlined with injury Curran can now stand up and be counted.

Have to agree with Brad think both Daragh Gaffney and Dean Connolly are up there. Daragh Gaffney was a go to man when Drumalee are in trouble and he always comes up trumps.
Only seen and heard of Dean Connelly last year and my god what a championship he had. Seen him in the Ballyhaise, and the game against us and the final!!!.,..,
He scored 1-2 or something that day from half back and his speed is abnormal,,,great head on a young shoulders also and can pick a pass out if needed!!!,.,think him and the other centre forward they had playing all year for them(can't think of his name) are going to be serious players in a few years.
