I hear there are teams in Division 1 and 2 with objections in about getting relegated.
In my opinion this is only right seeing it wasn't passed by the Ulster Council.
Could be reprocussions yet.

Why would it have to be passed by the Ulster Council?

The Clubs voted in the changes nobody else.

this typical. delegates vote for something (or at least they are present when the vote takes place). the secretary gets a copy of the changes/ rules etc. then at the end of the season an objection is launched .

what is the story with divisions 1 2and 3 what way does it work and should shercock not go up even though they topped division 3 surely the top 2 teams in each league should get automatic promotion thats what a guy told me from tyrone that there is some sort of rule in all provinces that cant be turned over

Well he is talking pure **** Paddy.

Clubs should man up they will end up in whatever Division they deserve to be in at the end of this year.

Every club voted for it at the begining of the year as far as i know, everyone knew where they stood & that the league was crucial. So just because teams now find themselves in trouble, you should not be allowed to try & reverse the changes. If your not good enough for that division then it will show in the league table. End of story

yeah o.k but what about the teams in first and second in divisions 2 and 3 surely they deserve automatic promotion and is seven teams a bit much to go down its actually quite laughable that we are in the bottom 5 teams in the country yet we do things **** ways

Were in the bottom 5 teams in the country as you say. Well then obviously the system up til now has not been beneficial. I see no harm in shaking things up. Clubs have been stagnant in the league for far too long, knowing that 3 or 4 wins would be sufficient to keep them up each year. What harm can this new system do? We can't get much worse. Change is for the better i say. 7 teams might seem alot, but it may be the kick in behind clubs need. Sometimes a stint in a lower division can bring a team on, gain some confidence from winning games against teams at a similar level & develop young players

Again they knew the story from start of year, finish top and you will get a play off for promotion.

However, county board chairman Tom Reilly admits that there may be some 'tweaking' done to the new structure with teams set to amalgamate from the intermediate and junior grades to play in the senior championship, while others could force their way back into the top flight on appeal.

On appeal ? I'm pretty sure any club that was relegated will appeal now once they have read this from the Chairman. They better get it tidied up before the end of 2012. As the fixtures for next year will be much more intricate than the year gone by & the league titles are still not decided yet, and were nearly in November.

I do feel the clubs such as Killygarry or Drumgoon have an argument. Killygarry had a great championship.

However i think this farse has to be the final nail.. saturday Night Denn were made play a promotion game against a very tough Drungoon side. A great win for Denn in which they used 20 players. Clubs spirits were lifted & now we read we still don t know where we stand in 2013???

We are playing our semi this saturday with two injuries one due to Astro Turf Gealic & a player sent off. Missing 3 players Tom?

Should the game have been played?

Talking to club chairman last night and from what he was telling me. no relegations are going ahead yet. the CB are proposing a Div1a and Div1b for promoted teams from div 2 and relegated teams from div1 aswell as the current div1 teams. it will be like the hurling national league..

Denn man how can you blame the county board or the Astro pitch for having a man sent off!!!

Don t be so cinical. No i change that don t be so ignorant. When playing a tough encounter championship styled match. You play it on the edge .Border line fouls & tackles you may not try in ordinary matches. You ve never been in the situation so i feel my argument maybe lost on you.

Denn or any of the Top 5 teams would lose a man any semi or final to win. It puts us above you & the likes.

Denn man I been neither cynical or ignorant just stating the fact that the Denn man was not sent off for a border line tackle or foul he was sent off for striking an opponent.
