Why would it have to be passed by the Ulster Council? RHF (Cavan) - Posts: 891 - 27/09/2012 12:48:05 1273685 Link 0 |

this typical. delegates vote for something (or at least they are present when the vote takes place). the secretary gets a copy of the changes/ rules etc. then at the end of the season an objection is launched . s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5524 - 27/09/2012 14:00:03 1273752 Link 0 |

what is the story with divisions 1 2and 3 what way does it work and should shercock not go up even though they topped division 3 surely the top 2 teams in each league should get automatic promotion thats what a guy told me from tyrone that there is some sort of rule in all provinces that cant be turned over paddy1ball (Cavan) - Posts: 36 - 27/09/2012 14:14:10 1273762 Link 0 |

Every club voted for it at the begining of the year as far as i know, everyone knew where they stood & that the league was crucial. So just because teams now find themselves in trouble, you should not be allowed to try & reverse the changes. If your not good enough for that division then it will show in the league table. yeah o.k but what about the teams in first and second in divisions 2 and 3 surely they deserve automatic promotion and is seven teams a bit much to go down its actually quite laughable that we are in the bottom 5 teams in the country yet we do things **** ways paddy1ball (Cavan) - Posts: 36 - 27/09/2012 15:18:16 1273810 Link 0 |

Were in the bottom 5 teams in the country as you say. Well then obviously the system up til now has not been beneficial. I see no harm in shaking things up. Clubs have been stagnant in the league for far too long, knowing that 3 or 4 wins would be sufficient to keep them up each year. What harm can this new system do? We can't get much worse. Change is for the better i say. 7 teams might seem alot, but it may be the kick in behind clubs need. Sometimes a stint in a lower division can bring a team on, gain some confidence from winning games against teams at a similar level & develop young players Ritz (None) - Posts: 199 - 27/09/2012 15:31:07 1273825 Link 0 |

However, county board chairman Tom Reilly admits that there may be some 'tweaking' done to the new structure with teams set to amalgamate from the intermediate and junior grades to play in the senior championship, while others could force their way back into the top flight on appeal. just_the_facts (Cavan) - Posts: 163 - 24/10/2012 13:25:12 1287540 Link 0 |

I do feel the clubs such as Killygarry or Drumgoon have an argument. Killygarry had a great championship. Denn Man (Cavan) - Posts: 413 - 24/10/2012 14:20:32 1287581 Link 0 |

Talking to club chairman last night and from what he was telling me. no relegations are going ahead yet. the CB are proposing a Div1a and Div1b for promoted teams from div 2 and relegated teams from div1 aswell as the current div1 teams. it will be like the hurling national league.. graveyardshift (Cavan) - Posts: 45 - 25/10/2012 10:39:11 1287968 Link 0 |
