Will we have an Xmas do for H/S members this year?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

It seems that we always leave it late to organise an Xmas do.
Well I have in the past proposed it and I feel that this could be the year.
I will do my part insofar as Cavan town would be the most central town,
It also has a few taverns that are on a slope to facilitate the Hill start posters.
Sure it would be fun to get a look at the face behind the name on a night out.
Give me your views.

Perhaps Lifebouy you should would refrain from posting personal remarks.
This site is all about one expressing a view and my view is that we should have an xmas function

It appears that some of you posters prefer to remain shielded behind posting names like (Lifeboy, Ochlair and Crispy o what names youse choose but probally very suitable) and are afraid to come out in the open and let us all see the face behind the name. I can guarntee that no one will laught at you or take a hand at any of you on the night even if you come from backward areas of Cavan.

Look we Town folk have over the years been well used to having Country people come in Town. Indeed when I was younger it was agreat source of amusment to hear the different Cavan accents going down Breffni lane on match day.
One could know long before the turnstiles if he wasa west Cavan man or a Romour man.
Indeed the first person who spotted the fellow that used to pay with an odous load of Ten pence coins was the winner of spot the meanie

Well Con I can tell you as a Town person that we are well used to all sizes colours creeds ect comming into our Town.
If all the Gaa players that seek to transfer to the Cavan Gaels club were let in we would be inundated with players.
THen again when you are succesful everyone wants to join your club.

Country people heading to the local town, players transfering between clubs - what's your point Tom?

Jinky 15,

Well we in Cavan Town do feel that we own the Town.
That superiorty complex has and is being driven into us by the mere fact that we are superior in all aspect of sporting life to other Towns, Villages, and small clubs in Cavan.
Look at it this way, who is around to beat the Gaels or to come close to us ( Except with the 16th man support) in the Cavan senior championship.
