Just a few short years ago we all lauded Terence Hyland's appointment as the County Cavan Senior team football manager.
While he was bedding in his experience and selecting his assistants we all knew that it would be along road and difficult.
What we did not know that quite a lot of Cavan footballers who suffered under the clip board men would walk away from the setup.
Terence Hyland has done a good job with the talent that is available to him. He may have required a few more advisers that would keep him informed of good up coming talent in and around Cavan County.
If you look at Mr Hyland he was in a County which was dominated by one big Club that did not produce the same superiority into the County panel. All the other clubs were away behind.
That has now changed with the demise of that big club and the fact that the other clubs are raising the standard
So I say Mr Hyland stay for the greater good of Cavan football,

I see that Mr Hyland has lost the services of Anthony Forde from his backroom staff to-day

Forde a very experienced operator will be a big loss to the management setup.
This vacancy will provide a vacancy for fresh blood on the management/advisory team
Perhaps we could supply suitable people from the supporters side

look Seanie 66 it was not Mr Hyland that caused the rot in the Cavan setup
He only came in when the clip-board men went all away back up past whitegate cross.
Mr Hyland has tried to gel the team together and that will take a little while .
I feel that if we get the Gaels lads back into the setup, let us unearth new talent ( like my discovery of David Givney o what a find) all over Cavan set up Divisional teams to showpiece our talent I think we will be on the road again to even higher levels than taking the current Ulster champions to the dearth

We have won 4 u21s a minor and a junior all ireland in last 4 years. We certainly have higher ambition than longford.

Just a point on his Ulster Championship record . Lost to Ulster and All Ireland Champions - Lost twice to Ulster Champions . The only no show was the game against Armagh last year . He has had what you would call one very good year in Championship , got us promotion and survival in Division 2 and raised the bar a bit . Anyone who keeps going on about failure at Ulster Championship level or "setting Cavan football back 10 years" has either a personal vendetta against him , is off their rocker or has the memory of a goldfish .

What Mr Hyland needs is a a selectors or two with a good knowledge of the Cavan game who will look at Divisional teams and who will stand out

Exactly Sceptical. MartinGerrard has had the joy of celebrating 1 senior Leinster title (1968) in his sad and depressing life as a Longford supporter. But then again, he isn't a Longford supporter, he is just a troll that goes around annoying other counties with his rubbish. Well done Martin, I took the bait, but please have a look at the history books before you come to counties like Cavan again. Off you go to counties like Carlow who are at your level.
