Replying To s goldrick:  "So who do you think Cavan's 10 best players are ?"
Well, for a start, any of the 15 or so players that regularly started ahead of Caoimhin over the past two years but if you want ten named....
Ray Galligan
Padraig Faulkner
Jason McLoughlin
Oisin Kiernan
Gerry Smith
Ciaran Brady
Gearoid McKiernan
Martin Reilly
Niall Murray
Conor Madden
And that's even just going by members of the current panel.

Anybody know the starting 15 for Virginia college the other day and what clubs the lads are from?

Hannon explained about Caoimhin O Reilly injury trouble on the latest podcast. It's not really accurate to say he couldn't hold down a place, on the team. He missed all of the League last year through injury. Under McGleenan he was messed about, taken off after performing well against Donegal.

In terms sof talent if he was available and injury free, he would be in the top 10 players in Cavan. But wouldn't be in the top 10 of most important over the last few years.

Before Armagh game Fitz reckoned Stephen smith would be lighting up the league for Cavan, he was "different gravy" in training he reckoned. First two games smith doesn't score & gets a black card in each game.
Different gravy indeed....

One thing that will please the lads is that the critical posters above are obviously paying their subs
I for one enjoy the podcast. After all the lads are offering an opinion, I might not agree with all they say but it's entertaining and enjoyable. We are lucky to have a weekly Cavan football podcast

I'll admit I hadn't been aware of the lads injury problems but I still think it does a great injustice to many others to describe a player who has effectively been a big part player as one of the ten best in Cavan.
Like Fitzpatrick, you are changing the point he made. It's now being changed to that he's one of the ten most talented players or other terms are being used. The fact is he described him as one of the "ten best" with no small print.
That is not correct and, as I said above, it's actually an insult to some of the other players who have held down Cavan jerseys for far longer than the player mentioned.

Most of what's been mentioned above is from the free podcast.
I think Mickey naming the panel is the only exception

Some good podcasts in the last couple of weeks with county team doing well. Nice interview with Declan Bogue this week to get a neutral perspective on the Fermanagh game.

One thing I would like to see is a few more guests on podcasts. I know on We Are Meath they have four regular contributors and I've also seen them get some club PROs in as well.

No offence to the pair of lads but We Are Cavan is constantly the same two lads with Hannon and Brennan sometimes giving an opinion but it'd be nice to see the odd character from around the county in. Why not try get the likes of say Terry Hyland (might be tough with him in with Leitrim) or a Damien O'Reilly in to sit in for a full podcast? Other recent former players like, say, Seanie Johnston or Cian Mackey?

I do think they need to look at upping the ante now to three or four regular contributors because there's only so many times the same sayings and anecdotes can be heard - for example, I don't know how many times the story has been rolled out about them pulling Padraig O'Reilly up on stage and him saying Kingscourt are always hard beat.

Think the lads are losing the run of themselves again this week. David Givney is a good footballer but he was described as a ''football superstar'' at one stage in this week's podcast. He didn't even win an underage football title with Cavan.
