Mullahoran are in for a bit of transition but that is the fate for a lot of rural clubs unfortunately. They've some good people working underage and I'm sure they'll come strong again. Killeshandra have gone back a bit too. They had a nice young team a short time ago but the loss of a few players really can have a dramatic effect on a rural club. Looking at the table it does look like the makings of a good senior championship. One thing stands out though from the tables. There's only about 6 teams with serious aspirations for the senior championship. There is scope for an extra county championship like they have in Kerry. Maybe have top 6 teams in the league as stand alone for county championship and make 10 amalgamated teams from the rest to have a 16 team competition. Killygarry (24) and Crosserlough (20) are top two in Division 2. Butlersbridge (24) top in Division 3 and 3 teams in joint second on 20 points- Kildallan, Drumgoon and Knockbride. I think they were yeah. Not sure what happened there, re Drumgoon Bridge won the final well. Though the leagues should be long over at this stage. Kingscourt waiting a long time to play league final. Maybe league is too long. 4 Divisions of 10 might be better? Seems too drawn out with a lot of conceded games for final rounds. Bit mad expecting teams to tog out in December alright. League should be done and dusted before Championship starts and maybe scrap finals as well. If you finish 4 points ahead of the rest you're clearly league champion.
