Seniors

Hard luck to our Seniors who suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Cavan Gaels in Terry Coyle Park on Saturday evening last in Round 3 of the ACFL Division 1 League. Belturbet: Danny Anscombe, Peter Shannon, Damien O'Reilly, Shane Fitzpatrick, John Cahill, Niall O'Reilly, Stuart Dunne, Conal McGinley, Mark Teevan, Niall Lawlor, Enda Henry(0- 4 3f), Kevin McConnell, Cian Vaughan, Brendan Fitzpatrick(C)(0-2), Eoin McGuigan. Subs Used: Ryan McGovern, Luke Smith, Sean Og Lawlor(1-0). Our Seniors host Mullahoran this Saturday April 29 at 7pm.

 

Reserves

Well done to our Reserves  who defeated our neighbours Drumlane by 4-5 to 1-12 in the ACFL Reserve Division 3 League on Sunday last in O'Connell Park, Milltown. Trailing  by 1-6 to 1-3 at half time our reserves scored goals at crucial periods in the second half to close out a two point victory. Belturbet: Cian Vaughan, Killian Murray, Luke Smith, Daniel Shannon, Ryan McGovern, Mark O'Reilly, Cormac Rudden(C), Killian Teevan, Brian Wallace, Sean Og Lawlor, Wayne Harvey, John Joe Collins, Ronan Vesey. Subs introduced: Justin McDonald, Gareth McDonald, Killian Collins, Mark Teevan, Shane Corby. Our Reserves take on Kildallan this Sunday April 30 at 2pm  in their penultimate game of the Reserve Division 3 League group stage.

 

Minors

Well done to our Minors who defeated Lough Uachtar Gaels by 5-14 to 5-10 in the Division 2 Minor League on Monday evening last in Emmett Park.

 

Cavan Senior Ladies

Congratulations to Katie, Sarah, Laura and the Cavan Senior Ladies who defeated Clare by 3-16 to 0-11 in the Division 2 Lidl League Semi Final in St.Brendan's Park, Birr on Sunday last. Cavan will now face Westmeath in the League Final on May 7.

 

Cavan U16 Ladies

Well done to Fiona Mc Kiernan, Aine Dennehy, Olivia Murphy and the Cavan U16 Ladies who defeated Down by 11-11 to 1-6 in the Ulster U16 Championship on Saturday last.

 

Cavan U14 Girls

Well done to Gemma Beatty, Aine McKiernan and the Cavan U14 Girls who defeated Down by 5-13 to 1-3 in the Ulster U14 Championship on Saturday last.

U16's

Well done to our U16's who defeated Naomh Bríd by 10-11 to 5-14 in the U16 Division 3 League on Friday evening last in Max McGrath Memorial Park. Our U16's are back in league action this evening when they host Kingscourt at 7pm.

 

Club Membership
Many thanks to all who have paid their Membership and to those who are on Direct Debit, it is badly needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which we will be starting this year.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club.    Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
