Medal Presentation and Social Banquet Night, Riverfront Hotel, Thursday 16th .  Congratulations and thank you to all our players and management teams who received their respective Division 2 winning medals and Junior Div 3 Championship winning medals at our club medal presentation and social banquet in the Riverfront Hotel on Thursday night. Thank you to all who attended and enjoyed the night.

The large attendance enjoyed a presentation to Brtiney Ardesne,our recent World Champion Bench Press Gold medalist in Dubai and future Para Olympian. Thank you to Packie Sheridan, who was a very popular guest, who presented our players with their medals. Thank you to Mickey McCann and Sean Gibney for presenting the player of the year awards. Congratulations to Evan Doughty (Male Players Player of the Year) and Lauren Carpenter (Female Player of the Year) on their respective awards. 

A special thanks to the ever impressive Peter Murtagh, MC to the event, for his usual flair and relaxed humor. To Paul Taite who presented  our developments plans, it became obvious that Paul's has a budding career awaiting him on the comedy circuit. Many players breathed a sigh of relief when he eventually returned to script and then his seat. 

A big thank you to those who worked so hard to make this event such a success; Fergus O Reilly, Paul Taite, Terry Farrelly, Tom Conachy, Sandra and Mickey McCann, Barry Monaghan, Marty Lynch. Thank you to our young helpers on the night; Ciara Carpenter, Ruth Smith, Cian Martin and Oisin Carolan.  To the hard working Brenda Smith, Collette Smith, Fergal Kenny, Adrian Taite and Shane P O Reilly who worked tirelessly on the night and assuring that this event ran smoothly.         

This event was superbly organised by Caroline, Paul, Jimmy and Antoinette Murray and all the staff in The Riverfront Hotel. Our night in the Riverfront will be remembered for many years. Special thanks to Caroline who demonstrated great professionalism and patience in dealing with the many unexpected guests!.

Please note that the closing date for 2017 membership is March 31st.  Membership forms can be downloaded on 'www.clgcuchulainn.com' or are available in Monaghans Shop. Please look at our website to view the variety of choices of membership.

- 'Cairde Cuchualinn' is a new  initiative to raise funds for the development of our new 8.8 acre site in Mullagh.  'Cairde Cuchulainn' membership is a new family membership choice and are entitled to club membership for two adult memberships and all children under 18 years, 2 annual lotto tickets, free pass into all home games, free refreshments at home games and one item of 'Cairde Cuchulainn' clothing. 

Annual Lotto Tickets; The new 2017 Annual Lotto season commences on April 1st.  Annual lotto tickets can be purchased from club officials or can be collected in Monaghans Shop. Club officials will be in contact with 2016 Annual Lotto holders within the next few weeks. 

U12 Team; Under 12 training continues in Mullagh Sports Centre at 10am on Saturday morning. Please bring runners and €3. Reminder that all children must be registered for 2017. The indoor Peile blitz (8 a side) with Moynalty will commence this weekend. Details will be relayed via normal communication channels.

Seniors - Juniors; Our senior and junior teams are training hard for the beginning of their respective leagues. The Juniors will be first to launch their new season on the 25th March. Details of all games will be posted on our club website.

Clg Cuchualinn 5 Year Strategic Plan; Our 5 year Strategic review was launched at our club open day on Saturday 18th June. Copies of the complete document can be downloaded from www.clgcuchulainn.com.

North-East Cryospa; The North East Cryospa in Mullagh Sports Centre is officially open. This modern salinised ice bath has proven to be an excellent facility in assisting recovery post exercise for many professional and amateur sports people around the world.
