Cavan Town St. Patrick's Day Parade---  Congratulations and well done to Cornafean stalwarts and Gogglebox stars Neal and Fergal Tully who were the joint grand marshalls of the very successful parade held in Cavan Town on St. Patrick's Day. 

Presentation of 13th Annual Gallant Challenge proceeds to St. Christopher's Hospice Cavan takes place on Friday 31st March at 10 p.m. in McSeain's Bar, Cornafean.  Big sing song and refreshments on the night.  Everyone welcome.  A night not to be missed.

Souvenir Booklet - The beautiful souvenir booklet of photographs from the weekend "Cornafean Won the Junior Championship in 2016" is now available in McSeains or from any committee members priced at €5 if you would like to get a keepsake for any  friends or family.

Killeshandra Variety Concert...All roads lead to Killeshandra Community Hall this Friday night 24th March at 8.30 for their Fundraising Variety Concert.  This promises to be a great nights entertainment with a great variety of local talent on display.  Your support would be greatly appreciated. 

CLUB NOTES 

LORETO U16 GIRLS IN ALL-IRELAND FINAL..Well done to Aine Brady Cornafean Ladies who played corner back on the Loreto u 16 football team who recently qualified for the All Ireland A Colleges final by virtue of  a great victory over the Leinster Champions Portlaoise played in Mullingar.The Loreto girls will take on a  top school from Limerick in the final  in a no of weeks and we wish them well in their endeavours.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           


Senior Ladies.....Hard luck to the Cornafean Ladies on their recent league defeat to Ballymachugh   and their  9 aside league match against the same opposition  due to be played on Sunday last was postponed due to the very inclement weather.. 

Cavan Ladies.. Congraulations to the Cavan Ladies who had a great win over Waterford at the weekend.  Well done to Amy Wharton who is part of the team. 

Cavan U16 Ladies....Congratulations to U16 Cavan Ladies who had a great win over Derry at the weekend in Dungiven.   Well done  to Aine Brady and Deirbhile McCaffrey who are part of the team.   

Best of luck to Cavan Senior Men who will take on Kerry this weekend in Kingspan Breffni Park.   

Feile 2017 - Cornafean U14 boys and girls will be taking part in the National Feile Football Festival on the weekend of June 23/25 which will take place in counties Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. Cornafean GFC will host a visiting club on that weekend and would really appreciate if local families would keep one or two young people in their homes for Friday and Saturday night. It promises to be a fun weekend of games, parades and events for all the young footballers and their families to enjoy. More information and updates to follow.
