Annual Spring Clean 

April is National Annual Spring Clean month and Cavan captain, Killian Clarke is the ambassador for Cavan.  Kingscourt Tidy Towns Annual Spring clean takes place on Saturday 1st April, and it is hoped that the Club will give a hand for 1-2 hours on that morning. This will be a chance to give a little back to the community, while showing an example of pride in our town. Players and all club members are asked to give a hand,  meeting at Market square at 9.30am. Bags, gloves, etc will be provided. Club will take charge of Corrygarry down to the entrance to the pitch! 

GAA Gaeltacht Scholarships 

Interviews will be held in Hotel Kilmore on Saturday April 29th between 10am and 1pm for students wishing to avail of a scholarship.

Cavan U21's           

It was an emphatic win for Cavan U21s against Fermanagh in the qtr final of the Ulster U21 championship - Cavan 2-19 Fermanagh 0-4. Peter Corrigan came on in the second half and scored a goal. There is a replay between Tyrone an Donegal, and Cavan will play the winners in the semi-final. 

 Cavan Minors  

Well done to the county  minors and U17s, winning both games on Saturday. Ulster Minor Football League Result: Cavan 3-11 Armagh 1-13. Ulster U17 Football League Result: 
Cavan 7-14 Armagh 0-6. Well done Paddy Meade, Shane Duffy, Cian Shekleton and Kevin Curtis who is recovering from injury. Cavan now play Down in the Ulster minor league on next Saturday March 25th at 12pm in Kingspan Breffni Park. 

U14 GAA Féile    

 Our club will host both girls and boys teams, and  families are needed to accommodate these players over the weekend. Áine Gogarty is coordinating the visiting boys, and Kieran Smith will coordinate the visiting girls. Please contact either of them if you are interested in taking two or more boys or girls. This promises to be a great weekend for all players and their parents, and it is important that we extend a warm hospitality to all the visitors.   

Kellogg's Cúl Camps  

Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls - between the ages of 6 and 13 - with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games. Camp will take place in Kingscourt on July 10th to July 14th. Allianz Football Pools  

Support our senior players by taking part in the league predictions with a chance of winning €100.  Entry forms available from senior players, Pat Faulkner or any committee member at €3 per round.      

Lotto  

Lotto held in Dún ar Rí. Numbers drawn  9; 11; 21; 25.  No jackpot winner. Draw next week takes place in M&Fs for a jackpot of  €4000  Additional help needed  as an extra pub on lotto circuit.

Seniors         

Kingscourt take on Crosserlough in the first round of the reserve ACFL div 1 on next Saturday March 25th at 5pm away. The ACFL Div 1 will commence on Saturday April 8th V Mullahoran at 6pm away. All senior fixture and results may be viewed at www.kingscourtstars.gaa.ie.    

Ladies      

Training for U15 and U17 girls every Tuesday 6.40pm to 8pm. New players welcome.  Well done to Lauren Patterson and Shannen McCormack both part of the Cavan U16 panel that beat Derry emphatically in the first round of the girls Ulster championship. 

Juveniles        

U16 league starts Wednesday April 5th V Lavey away at 7pm. U12 Spring League starts Tuesday April 11th; U14 league starts Friday May 12th.  Training will be provided. Remember gum shields are obligatory!             

Allianz League  

  Brilliant win for Cavan against Mayo. Congratulations to all, including Joe Dillon who came on in the second half and scored a super point. Cavan now play Kerry in Kingspan Breffni Park next Sunday at 2pm. 

Minors  

Minors are now joint 3rd in the league with 6 points. Next game V Blackwater Gaels at home on Saturday April 8th at home.  

Hurling           

 For all info on U6/8/10 groups please contact Willie 086 164 9280. Info on under 12/14/16/18 please contact Kathryn 087 244 1371 Hurling training times and venues; Under 6/8/10; Kingscourt group trains every Thursday at  6.45-8pm in the Community Centre. €3 each and bring water bottle.       

Gaeltacht Scholarships  

Cavan County Council is delighted to offer a number of Gaeltacht Scholarships for the Coláiste na bhFiann Colleges: If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, application forms are available through the secondary schools in County Cavan, please ask your Irish teacher.  All scholarship forms should be returned before Friday 7th April 2017 to Johnston Central Library, Farnham St. Cavan.
