Ballinagh GAA Registration/Fun Morning
Ballinagh will host a registration fun morning in the dressing rooms on Saturday the 11th of February from 10am - 12pm. Players of all ages from U6, U8 and U10s can come along and register for the year. The newly formed Ballinagh Ladies club will also be taking registration for the new U12 team. On the day there will be with coaches down to play football and games with the kids and there will be a special guest in attendance. There will also be a FREE raffle draw for all the juveniles that register on the day with prizes such as a signed Cavan jersey, an O'Neills football and a pair of gloves.


Ballinagh Feile 
The Feile Committee will have their first Fundraiser of the Year this Saturday the 28th of January. A bucket collection will take place on Main Street Ballinagh from 8am till 6pm. All money raised will go towards getting club gear for the Ballinagh Under 14 Team participating in Feile. Anybody that is available to help out please contact Feile Officer Julia Dunne on 086.2284655. Anyone going through the town on Saturday , please support the bucket collection.


Ballinagh Ladies U12
Ballinagh GAA are pleased to announce the formation of a Ballinagh Ladies U12 team who will be working in conjunction with Ballinagh GAA. They will be part of the joint registration morning on the 11th of February so please come along to get more information on this exciting new adventure for the community. We wish the all the very best of luck with their new club.


New Senior Manger
Ballinagh GAA are pleased to confirm Ollie Fay from Killeshandra as our new senior team manager for 2017. Ollie has both experience playing football and coaching at a high level. He played his football with Killeshandra and coaching wise has been involved with Drumlane, leading them to an Intermediate final in 2010, Dromard in Longford, reaching the senior championship final in 2011, and Clontibret in Monaghan, winning the Monaghan senior championship and reaching the Ulster Semi Final in 2014. He has also had spells with St. Michaels Enniskillen and the Donegal senior club team in New York city. We would like to wish Ollie the very best of luck for this coming year and we are sure he is eager to get started.


Lotto Results
The numbers drawn for the week ending 16/1/17 were 11-18-25-29, there was no jackpot winner. The winners of €25 were; Martin Brady Garrymore, Laura Murtagh Maghera, Paul King Oghill, Kathleen O'Reilly, Sean Gumley Cavan Rd. The losing ticket drawn this week to be entered into the draw for a weekend away at the end of the month was John Reilly. Next week's Jackpot is €4'300. Tickets can be bought in any local establishment


RIP Jimmy Donegan
The death has occurred of Jimmy Donegan, 27 John Paul Avenue, Cavan. Monday, January 16th 2016, suddenly. Beloved son of the late Mona. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, father Harry, sisters Christina and Dympna, brother Henry, his loving children Dylan, Craig and Jason, brothers-in-law Sean and Martin, nephews, nieces, all his family circle and many friends. Jimmy is Ballinagh minor footballer Craig Donegan's father and everyone at Ballinagh GAA extend their thoughts and prayers to Craig and his family at this tough time. Ar dheis Dé do raibh a anam


Membership/Lotto:
Ballinagh GAA have set up a direct debit for anyone wanting to do the lotto on a yearly basis. This works out at €5 a week, with the yearly membership and three lotto tickets every week included in this. This is a savings of €70 a year for anyone doing the lotto on a yearly basis. Cash or cheque will be also be accepted for this lotto incentive. Please contact any committee member for further details if you are interested in joining this fantastic offer.


Feile 2017
The National Feile Under 14 All Ireland competition will be taking place from Friday the 23rd of June until Sunday the 25th of June 2017. The competition will be taking place in Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. The Ballinagh Under 14 Team will be participating in this prestigious competition, in where they will host a visiting club on that weekend, with the visiting club to be confirmed. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Under 14s to participate in competition, meet new friends, and have an opportunity to have a great weekend of fun and enjoyment. As part of our identity, it is hoped to fully kit out all the team, as well as purchase football bags. There will be a few upcoming fundraisers for the Feile Competition, so please support these fundraisers where possible. Shave or Dye Night in Aid of Children of Chernobyl
As part of her role as Cavan Rose, Gortahurk native Lisa Reilly will be hosting a fundraising night for the Children of Chernobyl. This fundraiser will be a shave, dye or wax night in which local celebrities will be either shaving their heads or dying their hair a funky colour, with a few others getting rid of some excess body hair with wax strips. There will be finger food, music, a raffle agus craic and all will take place in Cronins on the 28th of January from 8pm and it will be great to see a big crowd to support this event as it promises to be a great night


Ballinagh Cycling Club 
The Local Croagh Patrick Group have set up a cycling club in conjunction with Cycling Ireland and welcome you all to A Welcome and Information Evening in Cronins Lounge, Main Street On Sunday January 29th from 7 pm to 9 pm. Come along, have a cup of tea/Coffee/pint and have all your queries and doubts answered about a very benefiting exercise for you! Everybody welcome, both experienced and new budding cyclists


Cavan
Best of luck to the Cavan senior ladies who begin their league campaign this coming Saturday the 28th away to Westmeath, with venue and time to be decided. The ladies have also been drawn against champions Monaghan in the semi-final of the Ulster Championship. The very best of luck to Joanne Moore and newly appointed manager Aidan McCabe for the whole of the 2017 league and championship season
