Dinner Dance
A great night was had by all at the Kingscourt Stars Ladies Dinner dance last Friday. Thanks to the ladies for inviting the mens Minor C Champions and mens Junior Champions to share in the celebrations. Huge appreciation to guests Paul Brady and ladies County Board Chairman Martin Brady for attending. Cabra Castle was the beautiful venue and as always, the meal and service was faultless. Juvenile AGM
The Juvenile AGM will be held in the Clubrooms on Wednesday evening 1st February at 8.00pm. Parents of all juveniles from U-8's to U-16's need to attend as the club require coaches and helpers for training & games. 2017 will also see the club hosting the National Under 14 Feile competition for boys & girls teams. Families will be asked to host visitors for the competition.

McKenna Cup
U.U.J. had a surprising win over Cavan last Wednesday to put them out of the McKenna Cup. All eyes now turn to the first game in the league against Dublin in Kingspan Breffni Park on Sunday February 5th at 2pm. Tickets are now on sale at Centra, Supervalu or www.gaa.ie.
Cavan U21's
Cavan were beaten by Meath in the Hastings Cup semi final 2.09 to 1.08.They now turn their attention to the first game of the championship V Fermanagh in March.
New County Jerseys
The new Cavan GAA Jersey for 2017 was unveiled last Saturday 10.30am in The Sports Shop, Cavan Town. New jerseys are now available for purchase.
Seniors
There will be no Spring League in 2017 due to the increased number of games in the ACFL for all Divisions. The ACFL Div 1 will commence on Saturday April 8th
Club Membership/Chairde Dúnarí
Membership fees are now due for 2017. Remember only paid up members for the year are eligible and insured to use the club facilities and train/play for Kingscourt Stars! All forms of membership entitle the persons named to: Kingscourt Stars GAA Club membership / insurance for year, Season ticket to all Kingscourt Stars GAA Club home league matches, Men's Senior, Junior, Ladies and underage boys & girls football games. (Game Pass Ticket will be given), Text alerts on upcoming games, ticket information & events within the club, Kingscourt Stars GAA Club member's names will be displayed on the Club Notice Board, Optional entry to the weekly Kingscourt Stars Club Lotto, depending on form of membership. Membership may be paid by direct debit or a one off cash payment. Further details from any committee member.
Hurling
2017 Player Registration; U6/8/10; Registration for all existing and new players will be as follows:Thursday February 2nd from 6.45pm in Kingscourt Community Centre. Fri February 3rd from 6pm in Bailieborough Community School Sports Hall. €15 for the year. New players can try hurling for free for the first two sessions in January to see if hurling is the game for you. Equipment is supplied. Training will return in early February with our U12s scheduled to play in Dundalk blitz on Sunday 29th January to get their season up and running.
