Cavan manager Mickey Graham was delighted to pick up his second brace of points in Division 2 of the Allianz Football League yesterday.

Since losing heavily to Armagh in the first round, the Breffnimen have won two on the bounce against Westmeath and Laois to put themselves in the promotion picture.

"Points are becoming very hard to get in this division. You have to fight and scrap for every point you get to be honest," Graham told the Irish Daily Star after his side's surprisingly comfortable victory in Portlaoise.

"I said from day one that a lot of teams would take points off each other, and I think there's going to be a lot more twists and turns before this division is finalised.

"I tihink it's a competitive division. A lot of teams are on a level playing field with it, and you'll just have to take it one game at a time. You can't look any further. To come down to Portlaoise and get a result is great for us because it's not an easy place to come."
