Castlerahan Club Notes

August 19, 2019

Senior

Our senior team will travel to Virginia for round 3 of the championship v Shercock on Saturday evening at 6:30pm.

Senior ladies

Hard luck to the Castlerahan-Denn senior ladies team who were defeated in the intermediate championship quarter-final by Drumlane in Milltown last Sunday morning. Full-time scoreline: Castlerahan-Denn 0-10 to 2-8 Drumlane.

U17s

Our U17s defeated Crosserlough in a very entertaining game of football last Tuesday evening week. They travel to Killeshandra tomorrow evening (Tuesday) to take on St. Joseph's in round 5. Throw-in is at 7pm. They then host Drumgoon next Tuesday evening (27 August) at 7pm in Ballyjamesduff.

U15s

Our U15s travel to Templeport for round 6 on Thursday evening. Throw-in is at 7pm.

U13s

Our U13s continued their championship preparation by participating in the Andy Smith Memorial Tournament hosted by Lavey on Saturday afternoon last. The boys contested the cup final but were unfortunately defeated. They did, however, pick up the Kathleen Maguire Shield as runners up. Thanks to Lavey GFC for inviting us and organising a well run tournament.

U11s

Our U11s participated in the Fergal Reilly Memorial Tournament in Ballymachugh on Saturday morning, also. The boys emerged victorious in the tournament for the second year in a row. Well done to them and their coaches and thank you to Ballymachugh for inviting us to participate in what was another well organised tournament.

U9s

Our U9s hosted Bailieborough for Go Games on Saturday morning.
