Seniors

Well done to our Seniors on their 1-8 to 1-7 win away to Arva on Sunday last in Michael Cully Park. Subs: Jason O’Reilly(0-1 1f), Killian Murray, Eoin McGuigan, Peter Shannon, Killian Teevan. Our Seniors host Killinkere this Easter Saturday at 5pm with venue to be confirmed.

 

Ladies Raffle

 

As you are by now aware, Belturbet Ladies are selling lines on cards for their Easter Raffle. There are hampers in Belturbet Pharmacy, The Castle Sports Bar & McGurrens Butchers. Please help the club raise some funds by buying a line for €2.00 or three Lines for a €5.00. Any player who has not yet got a card please contact a committee member as soon as possible. The Raffle will be Drawn this Easter Sunday.

 

St.Pat's Cavan

Hard luck to our two players Jack Lawlor and Augustus Saulis and the St.Patrick's College Cavan team on their 2-8 to 0-13 Brock Cup Final defeat to Omagh CBS on Friday evening last in Emyvale.

 

U13s

Our U13s lost out to Laragh United yesterday evening on a 5-5 to 2-12 scoreline in the opening round of the Division 3 League in PJ Duke Park, Stradone. Our U13s are away to Ballymachugh next Tuesday April 23 at 7pm in Round 2.

 

Belturbet Golf Club

Belturbet Golf Club are doing an offer of €242 for 2 years for a Beginner Golfer or €242 for a returning golfer who hasn't played golf for 2 years for 1 year.

 

Cavan Ladies

Well done to the Cavan Ladies on their 4-16 to 4-9  win over Kerry in the Division 2 League in Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday last to book a semi final berth. Best of luck to the Cavan Ladies who take on Waterford this Sunday April 21 at 1.30 pm in Banagher, Co.Offaly.

 

Reserves

 

Belturbet travelled to St.Aidan's Park, Bawnboy on Friday night last to take on Templeport in Round 4 of the ACFL Reserve Division 3 League. Belturbet strung some good passages play together to work themselves into 0-8 to 0-5 half time lead with Colum Dennehy and Conor Vaughan doing a lot of the damage on the scoreboard. The Rory continued to keep their hosts at arms length with Evan O'Reilly, Killian Teevan, Mark Tully Jack O'Callaghan, Conor Vaughan and Mark O'Reilly among their second half scorers as they ran out 0-15 to 0-9 victors to cement their position at the top of the table. Belturbet: Mark Teevan, Shane Vesey, Peter Shannon, Mark O'Reilly, Killian Murray(C), Sean Grogan, Killian Teevan, Jack O'Callaghan, Evan O'Reilly, Mark Tully, Ronan Vesey, Colum Dennehy, Conor Vaughan. Subs Used: Wayne Harvey, Shane Lawlor. Our Reserves have a break until their final group game against Shannon Gaels on April 27.

 

 

U15s

Our U15s lost by 8-8 to 6-9 to Kingscourt in Round 2 of the  Division 2 League on Thursday evening last in Max MacGrath Memorial Park. Our U15s travel to Jim Smith Memorial Park this evening Wednesday to face Killinkere at 7pm in Round 3.

 

Belturbet Ladies GAA

Belturbet Ladies Gaelic Football club are hosting an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls which starts on Friday, 1 March from 5-6pm in the Astro Turf in Belturbet for 8 weeks. It is open to all girls aged between 8-12 years who are not registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football team. It introduces girls to football in a fun environment and all participants will get a G4G Jersey and certificate on completion. The programme costs €2. Club Membership 

Club Membership is now due for 2019. The funds are needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are well completed at this stage and which will be fully completed later this year.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2019 can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
