Cuchulainns U11 girls V Lurgan

Saturday afternoon saw the U11 (2007 team) take on Lurgan in Virginia. Game was played in near perfect conditions. Game was played in a fantastic spirit. First quarter was a closely fought affair, and Lurgan lead 3 scores to 1 after 12 mins. Second qtr was when Lurgan began to exert their dominance, for they where the physically bigger team. Our girls never once complained and kept on playing. Halftime came and Lurgan had extended their lead to 10 scores.

Second half and once again, we started to up our performance. All the girls gave their all, and one or two picked up knocks, but after a minute or two on the side line they were back into the fray.

Girls played until the final whistle and never once stopped trying, and the game finished Cuchulainns 8-17 Lurgan.

Thanks to the parents and the girls. Training Tuesday evening at 6pm in Mullagh and the next game is at home against Castlerahan/Denn at noon.
