Sosad/Smile For Me Event... Singforme 2018
Takes place in Blessings Bar, Cavan on Saturday 20th October at 2 p.m. till late.  Admission is €10.
A host of artists performing including Priorland, The Sugarcoatings, Topshelf, Gypsy and the Fool and many other local artists.
Well done to local girl Leanne Coyle Drumbess on her organisation of this very important fundraiser for Sosad and we wish everyone involved the best of luck.

Looking forward to seeing you all at THE 15TH GALLANT 5KM/10KM CHALLENGE: In aid of St Christopher's Hospice Cavan takes place on Saturday 27th October 2018.  This event will start and finish at McSeains Bar Cornafean and will be marked out and stewarded along the route to guide you along the way to whichever distance you decide to participate in. Main sponsors of this years event are Barry Kiernan Construction Moyne County Longford, Corrigans Fuel Services and Convenience Store Moyne County Longford and Grousehall Furniture Killydoon.  Special thanks to them for their kind support. Over the previous 14 years the Challenge has been an outstanding success raising €389,000 for this wonderful cause. There will be loads of surprises and craic on the day and it will be a fantastic day for the family.  Entry fee on the day to participate in the Challenge is voluntary.  Registration for the Challenge takes place from 12 noon and Challenge kicks off at 1pm sharp. Anyone wishing to donate to this very worthy cause can do so by leaving donations in the Village Foodstore Crossdoney.  All donations are greatly accepted.

Football Update
Good wins for Cornafean's underage ladies during the week with the U11 girls successful against Arva/Killeshandra and our U17 girls recording a good victory over Cuchulainns in Mullagh on Sunday.  We wish both teams continued success in their respective competitions.  Also well done to the Reds U13 boys on their win over Naoimh Brid in the Division 4 Championship in Cornafean on Saturday and best of luck to the team on their upcoming games.  The Cornafean Reserve Reds will take on Bailieboro on this Saturday 13th in the Division 2 Semi final.  Game down for decision on the 3G pitch Breffni Park at 4 p.m. and wishing the team and management the very best of luck.
