Yesterday was one to remember for Cavan Gaels' Luke Fortune and Cootehill's Tom Hayes as the pair helped UCD become Sigerson Cup champions for the 34th time.
Fortune started at right half-back for the Belfield students while Hayes was sprung from the bench as John Divilly's charges defeated NUI Galway by 1-13 to 2-9 in a thrilling encounter at Santry.
