Defibrillator Table Quiz..On behalf of the Cornafean/Crossdoney Defibrillator Committee a very sincere thank you to everyone who turned out to McSeains on Friday night last for our fundraising table quiz and the huge crowd present ensured the night was an outstanding success. Thank you also to many families who could not make it but sent very generous donations and also some local businesses for their more than generous contriubtions to this worthy cause. All monies raised will be used in the coming weeks to upgrade our life saving defibrillators in the Cornafean/Crossdoney area. To everyone who donated spot prizes for the raffle, helped out in any way on the night and Quiz Master Paddy McDermott a sincere thank you. Last but not least to Art and staff for the use of his premises and the lovely sandwiches at half time, thank you.
Cornafean Bowling Club..Practice continues every Tuesday night in the Community Centre at 8 p.m. New members always welcome.
Scór na nÓg: Congratulations to Cornafean Ballad Group members Deirbhile, Brianna, Niamh McCaffrey and Anna Tully who beat off stiff competition on Saturday last in Laragh Community Centre to emerge as County winners. Cornafean have won the County Title in Ballad Group singing for the past 10 years in a row and one of it's members Deirbhile McCaffrey has taken part on the 10 occasions. This is a major achievement for the Club in Scor and will be one to go down in the history books. They will now represent Cavan in the Ulster Semi Final in Omagh, Co Tyrone on Sunday 3rd December and all your support would be greatly appreciated on the day. Huge well done also to Niamh McCaffrey(solo singer) and Instrumental Group Orla Sheridan, Jessica Smith, Diarmuid Martin, Deirbhile McCaffrey and Brianna McCaffrey who all performed exceptionally well but were not successful on this occasion. Best of luck to all the Cavan winners in the semi final.

Ulster Ladies All Stars. Huge congratulations to Cornafean Ladies Amy Wharton and Siobhan King who have been nominated in their positions for the Ulster Ladies All Star team of 2017. This is a massive honour for the girls and the Cornafean ladies Club and is a testament to both Amy and Siobhan's efforts along with their teamates in the Ulster Junior Club Championship of 2017. Mass of Consolation Tuesday 28th November...A special Mass will be held in St. Brigids Church, Killeshandra at 8 p.m. for all who have lost a loved one since last November. At this Mass we will remember all who have died in our parish and relatives of our parishioners who have died in parishes throughout the country and abroad. On the night a candle will be lit in memory of loved ones.

U19 - 9-A-Side Ladies
Well done to the Cornafean U19 ladies who had a great win over St. Finbars in the Semi Final played in Kilnaleck on Sunday last. Full time score was Cornafean 9-27 St. Finbarrs 4-14. They now play Belturbet in the final.
Lough Oughter Gaels Minor Ladies..Best of luck to Kelly, Deirbhile, Aine and Captain Jemma in the Ulster Minor Semi Final to take place on this Sunday 26th November in Clann Eireann, Armagh at 2 p.m.
