Under 14 Div 5 team
After drawing with Castletara in the championship final a few weeks ago, there is uncertainty about the replay after the lads had done so well in this competition.
Congrats to Conor Smith
Congratulations to Conor who was selected on the Breffni All-Star team for 2017. The selection was by committee and based solely on championship performances. Conor was presented with his award at a function in the Hotel Kilmore last Friday.
Imperial Christmas Duck National
The Club is embarking on a novelty fundraiser which will finish up with the running of the Imperial Christmas Duck National on St. Stephens Day. It will involve a race of up to 10,000 ducks (plastic!) from the river at Connolly Street car park to the bridge over the river at the Scout Den on Railway Road. There are viewing points all along the way from start to finish so it should be plenty of fun for everyone seeing how the ducks are doing in the race - bring a pair of binoculars, all the ducks have individual numbers! The total prize fund is €5,000 - 20 prizes of €250 each for the first 20 ducks over the line.
Tickets will be on sale in the next few weeks - 6 for €50 or 15 for €100. A duck ticket would be an ideal Christmas gift. Anyone who buys a ticket should come along, watch the ducks and enjoy the fun factor.
Killygarry Juvenile Camogie
Teenage Camogie continues every Mon in Killygarry Athletic Grounds from 5:30-6:30. Please bring stick and helmet, some equipment will be available also. Girls of all abilities very welcome. Come and join in the skills of the fastest field game in the world. Contact Antonia on (085) 8521097.
Healthy Club Project
Kevin Reilly and Stephen McGovern attended the Healthy Club Recognition event in Croke Park last week as part of the progression of our Healthy Club Project. The lads met up with Sean Cavanagh and the Sam Maguire among others at the event! You can expect some more plans and information between now and the new year to try to promote healthier lifestyle and activity among our members and the community. Thanks to Kevin and Bommer for putting in the time and effort into this project. See photos on our Facebook page and website.
Smoke-free Club Grounds
The club grounds are now officially designated smoke-free. This is in keeping with our aims to improve lifestyles and promote healthy activity among our members and the community under the Healthy Club Project. Next time you visit you will see smoke-free signage throughout the grounds. We respectfully ask all our members and visitors to refrain from smoking while inside the club grounds at all times.
Ladies Scene
The U15 Girls are through to the championship final against Castlerahan/Denn - it was postponed last weekend. The U19s were conceded the championship semi-final last weekend by Drumgoon. They now play the winners of Lavey v Cuchulainns in the final. Best of luck girls.
Under-21 Championship
We have been drawn in Div 2 of this year's championship. We played Cuchulainns in the quarter-final last weekend and won through in a high-scoring game to qualify for the semi-final. We now play Laragh in the semi-final. Denn are in the other semi-final and Mullahoran and Ballyhaise are playing for the last semi-final place.
Under 13 Boys Competition
This year's competition is in the form of blitzes. The first blitz was last weekend. Well done to the lads who won all their matches and are through to the next round where they are in a group with Arva, Lavey and Gowna. Best of luck lads.
Senior Men
Our last ACFL fixture of the season was conceded by Bailieboro so we now have a league final to look forward to against Crosserlough.
Killykickers
Killykickers take place 9.15 AM - 10.30 AM every Saturday in Cavan Sports Complex main hall for 4-6 year-old boys and girls. There are plenty of challenging fun activities - warm-ups, target games, ABC (Ability, Balance & Co-ordination). We recognise that this may be the kids' first experience of sport. These specially-developed games and programmes are conducted in a fun and safe environment. It's also an opportunity to make new friends and be part of a club. For any enquiries, contact Padraig on 0872804961.
Learning to Run
Peter Walsh and his team have organised running classes for kids every Monday and Wednesday on the walking track between 6.10 PM and 7.00 PM. The classes will promote proper running techniques, improve fitness, be non-competitive and (most important of all) they will be fun. Any enquiries to Peter on 0871038202.

Eamonn has plenty of our club merchandise for sale, including kit bags. Check out his Facebook page or call into him.
