Carlow kingpins Mount Leinster Rangers have booked their place in their ninth county SHC final over the last ten years.

MLR are seeking a third title on the trot as they prepare to face either St Mullins or Ballinkillen in the county final on Sunday October 13th.

Having won their maiden title in 2006, MLR have gone on to lift the title on eight occasions with St Mullins being their main rivals during that period.

Indeed, St Mullins completed a three in a row from 2014-16 and between them they have won all ten county titles since 2008.

However, Ballinkillen may have a say in this year’s campaign yet as they certainly are an emerging side in the county.
