Leinster MHC: Scally swings round 1 fixture in Lake County's favour

Evan Scally sent over a late matching winning point for Westmeath in today’s Leinster MHC round 1 knock-out clash against Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park.

The Lake County prevailed by the narrowest of margins – 2-13 to 0-18 – thanks to substitute Scally’s late intervention.

It was nip and tuck throughout and the visitors led by 1-8 to 0-10 at the halfway stage and the second-half followed a similar pattern.
