Mount Leinster Rangers manager Brendan Fennelly will take a bit of time to mull over his future following their Leinster club SHC semi-final defeat to Kilcormac/Killoughey last weekend.

The Carlow champions suffered a heavy defeat to their Offaly counterparts at O'Connor Park, Tullamore on Sunday, which brings the curtain down on their year.

Now is the time for reflection and Fennelly admitted to the Carlow Nationalist that it had been a great experience, but the Kilkenny native hinted that he didn't know what the future holds for him.

"We will sit back and think. There is a lot of big things happening in Mount Leinster Rangers. A lot of developments on and off the field. I had a brilliant year with them and really enjoyed it," said Fennelly.

"I am getting old. Near the tail end. I am thrilled I did the job and have very good memories of Mount Leinster Rangers."
