Talented teenagers Amy Byrne and Sarah Fleming could see action for Laois in today's All-Ireland minor camogie 'B' semi-final against Derry after arriving home from a major basketball tournament in Greece last night.
Laois Today reports how the 17-year-old Portlaoise pair starred for their school Scoil Chríost Rí in the ISF basketball world championships, but have had little time to dwell on that with another big game taking place in Drogheda this afternoon. Sarah was actually named as the three-pointer champion at the basketball world championships.
Amy and Sarah have already tasted All-Ireland success this year after helping Scoil Chríost Rí win the All-Ireland ladies football senior ‘A’ football title a few weeks ago.
This is just amazing, @ScoilChriostRi1 Ireland's Sarah Fleming has just won the Championships Three Pointer contest. Congratulations to our new world champion!!
