Briege Corkery has rejoined her great friend and former team-mate Rena Buckley as the most successful All-Ireland winner in GAA history.

Corkery, who gave birth to her son Tadhg at the end of March, returned to the Cork camogie panel in July after a two-year absence and won her 18th All-Ireland medal today as an unused sub in their dramatic victory over Kilkenny at Croke Park.

Fellow dual star Buckley moved ahead when she collected her 18th All-Ireland medal as captain when Cork won the O'Duffy Cup last year, but her decision to retire this year allowed the Cloughduv legend to equal her medal haul.
