Aogan O Fearghail could have a career in politics after his term as GAA president ends next year.
The Sunday Independent reported yesterday that O Fearghail has been approached about the possibility of running for Fine Gael in his local Cavan/Monaghan constituency in the next general election.
Fine Gael snapped up Kerryman Sean Kelly after his tenure as GAA president ended in 2006 and he has been successful in two European elections since then.
