Kieran Kingston won't be rushed into making a decision on whether or not he will be extending his two year term as Cork senior hurling manager.

Rebel County supporters will be hoping that he commits to stay on at the helm after masterminding a 51st provincial success this summer but, speaking to The Evening Echo, he said: "It's only a wet week since the semi-final loss to Waterford which was the end of my term.

"The thing is still very raw at the moment and the disappointment is still there.

"I have yet to sit down with the various people involved, family, the rest of the team management, County Board, etc to see what happens.

"At this stage there is no commitment on either side.

"It is something that we will have to look at over the next few weeks.

"There has been no discussion, nobody has their mind made up as to what's happening next and no decisions have been made at any level.

"I have not discussed it with the people it impacts on.''
