Kerry's comfortable run to the semi-final or Mayo's struggle through the qualifiers, Kingdom skipper Johnny Buckley gives his thoughts on both sides route to the last four.

Much has been made of how 'easy' Kerry's run is to the semi-final as the Kingdom only have had to win three games to reach this stage of the All-Ireland SFC semi-final.

Mayo, on the other hand, have been forced to come through the qualifier route following their Connacht semi-final loss to Galway and although they have been less than impressive in some of their games, Buckley feels that the games will stand to the Westerners.

"I definitely think there are merits to the campaign Mayo have had, they certainly have had a lot of matches which they can have more reference on and their match sharpness would be a lot better than ours at present," Buckley told the Kerryman.

The last meeting in the championship between the sides was the 2014 All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay at the Gaelic Grounds, which Kerry won after a titanic battle. Will a replay be needed to separate the sides this Sunday? Only time will tell.
