Aidan O'Shea was already looking forward to Mayo's mouth-watering All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Kerry on August 20 after their replay demolition of Roscommon.

O'Shea produced another man of the match performance as the green and reds blew away their neighbours on a 4-19 to 0-9 scoreline in front of nearly 40,000 spectators at Croke Park.

"We're in really good shape. We work really hard. The games are just a bonus. We've been up and down. Today was a bit more consistent. It's not going to be good enough to beat Kerry, but it's a great game to look forward to and we'll knuckle down over the next 10 days and give it a right go," he told RTE immediately after the final whistle.

The Breaffy clubman felt the tactical changes made by Mayo manager Stephen Rochford, which included the surprise benching of Footballer of the Year Lee Keegan, worked a treat.

"We didn't play well the last day, gave Roscommon a massive start," O'Shea continued.

"We just sat down, watched the tape, made a few adjustments from a tactical point of view and upped our game to a level we know we can play. We know what we're capable of and we just keep going."
