Kilkenny manager Christy Walsh has urged his players to 'believe' ahead of their All-Ireland JFC semi-final against Meath at Nowlan Park on Saturday.

The Cats face a task of mammoth proportion as they prepare to take on a strong Royals outfit that impressed throughout the Leinster campaign.

Kilkenny came through the British championship to reach this stage and won't have faced a side as strong as Meath on their way to the semi-final.

However, Walsh told the Kilkenny People that if they have confidence in themselves then anything is impossible, while he added that they have nothing to lose in their quest to reach their first ever All-Ireland JFC final.

"We face a huge task, but we have to believe we have a chance," said Walsh. "I would be confident the players will give a good account of themselves."
