Wexford captain Brian Malone is adamant that anything other than promotion from the NFL Division Four will be seen as a failure.

The Model County got off to a good start when defeating one of their rivals for promotion Limerick last Sunday.

This weekend they travel to Carrick-on-Shannon to take on Leitrim and they enter this match as favourites.

Malone stated to the Leitrim Observer that they need to get the job done and continue their push for promotion.

"We need to get promotion from Division Four," said Malone. "We missed out last year and we'll be going all out because it does make a difference.

"There's a big gap between Division Four and Three so we'll be hoping to get up there and get high-quality games."
