Peter Harte togged out on both Saturday and Sunday and he felt honoured to do so.
After helping Ulster to victory over Connacht in the Interprovincial SFC final in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday, the 26-year-old Tyrone ace came off the bench on Sunday as the Red Hands were beaten by Armagh in the O'Fiaich Cup decider in Crossmaglen. It may seem like a lot of unnecessary football at this time of year for a player as established as Harte, but he wouldn't have it any other way:
"At this time of the year there are a lot of boys who have had long club seasons, picking up niggles, boys just need a bit of rest at this time of year. You play the hand you're dealt," he comments in The Irish News.
"I'm just privileged, a lucky man to be healthy and fit and able to play. As long as that's the way I am, I'll be out playing - please God, that's the way for the foreseeable future.
"I'm in a very fortunate position to be able to play football and to be injury-free. When the opportunity is there to play for your club, your county, your province, it's great to be part of."
