St Maurs manager Mark Kelly didn't hide his delight after the North County Dublin team defeated Kinsale to win the All Ireland Junior Championship in Dr Cullen Park in Carlow. 

"This is a monumental occasion. We are a small parish in Rush and this is for all of them," Kelly stated.

St Maurs won a thrilling encounter by 2-13 to 3-8, with Player of the Match Olivia Leonard scoring 1-5.

Winning captain Eadaoin McGuinness says the club "captured the imagination of the town".
