Kerry legend Maurice Fitzgerald is being tipped to replace Diarmuid Murphy in Eamonn Fitzmaurice's backroom team next season.
According to a report in the Irish Examiner, Stephen Stack and Noel Kennelly are also in the frame to fill the void left by the former All-Ireland winning goalkeeper, who stepped down after six years of involvement last month.
Considered to be one of Kerry's greatest ever forwards, 1997 and 2000 All-Ireland winner Fitzgerald managed his club St. Mary's, Caherciveen to a county IFC title last year and to an All-Ireland club IFC success last February in Croke Park. Indeed, the 47-year-old was still playing for the south Kerry club up until a year ago.
Fellow All-Ireland winning attackers Mikey Sheehy and Liam Hassett are set to continue as Kingdom selectors in 2017.
