Westport and Mayo star Lee Keegan believes playing in Croke Park with his club would be the 'highest honour'.

Keegan and his Westport team mates are just 60 minutes away from reaching that goal having won the Connacht club IFC final last Sunday.

And now the Footballer of the Year is determined to get the club to the All-Ireland final next February.

"To get to Croke Park with your club would be the highest honour, to run out with your band of brothers here and play in Croke Park would probably be one of the nicest things in your career. We've a big test ahead of us, but we'll look forward to that," Keegan told the Mayo News.

"We've such a young squad here that don't realise the hard times we went through. If you look through our stats, we've played more relegation finals in the last five years than we did county finals, but we're blessed at the moment."
