Hughes set for Offaly minor role

November 11, 2016

Offaly impress on the way to an easy victory.

Durrow clubman John Hughes is expected to be ratified as the new Offaly minor football manager.

Hughes has been involved with Offaly development squads for a number of years now and he replaces Roscommon native Padraig Murray who stepped down after just one-year in the position.

The new manager will bring in Noel Daly, Ger Lynam, Kevin Meehan and Keith Higgins as selectors.

Dave Hare will look after the strength and conditioning of the squad, while Declan Foy will act as physio.
