Greville steps down

Johnny Greville as Raharney manager.

Johnny Greville announced his intention to step down as Raharney manager in the wake of their Leinster club SHC quarter-final defeat to St. Mullin's.

The Westmeath champions surrendered a five-point lead and finished with 13 players as they succumbed to their Marty Kavanagh-inspired opponents at TEG Cusack Park.

Greville's departure is the end of an era for Raharney after he delivered three Westmeath SHC titles in the last six years. An older brother of players Paul, Gary and Robbie, he has also served as Westmeath minor manager and senior selector in recent years and was in charge of the county's camogie team this year.
