Dr Crokes manager Harry O'Neill has heaped praise on the vision and intelligence of Colm Cooper on a football field.

The Kerry star was a massive influence in Crokes win over Clare champions Kilmurry-Ibrickane in the Munster club SFC last Sunday.

O'Neill stressed that anyone not at the game couldn't comprehend the Gooch's influence in the match, something that he has been doing all year.

Cooper set up Crokes' penalty with an outrageous pass to Brian Looney before Daithi Casey dispatched the ball to the net.

"It was sublime very few people saw that pass," O'Neill told the Kerryman. "He is the most intelligent footballer I have seen in my life.

"He sees things that nobody else on the whole park probably saw. A lot of fellas will look at the score, how much did he score and he may not score in a lot of the game.

"But when you pick through what's happened, he has had a hand in nearly everything that's happened. That's the class of the man."
