St. Vincents have progressed to the Dublin Senior Football Final with a 0-12 to 0-11 win over Ballymun Kickhams in this evening's highly anticipated match-up at Parnell Park.

Ballymun missed two crucial early goal chances in a tightly fought first half that seen little scoring action but plenty of cards, most notably Davey Byrne (black card) and Jason Whelan sent off (two yellows). Both teams left the field at half-time on a level scoreline of 0-5 to 0-5.

County stars Diarmuid Connolly and Dean Rock matched each other for scoring brilliance in the second half with neither team pulling away. The game looked destined for a draw but up stepped substitute Albert Martin for the Vinnies with the winning score to send them through to the final.

They now await the winners of tomorrow's semi-final pairing of St. Judes and Castleknock.
