Mayo manager Stephen Rochford is set to sit down with county board chairman Mike Connelly this week to review their season.

Rochford has just completed his first year as senior football manager during which time he guided the county to the All-Ireland SFC final.

Unfortunately, they lost to Dublin, but one of the main talking points was the Mayo management's decision to switch goalkeepers before the game.

It was a move that backfired spectacularly on the day as Robbie Hennelly was black carded and gave away a penalty.

However, Connelly was keen to stress to delegates at the most recent county board meeting that it was a very good year for them.

"We've worked very well together and we'll be having a review with Stephen and his selectors and hopefully at the next county board meeting we'll be able to give more detail," said Connelly.

Meanwhile, this year's Mayo GAA convention will take place on Sunday, December 4th in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris at 11.30am.
